Wendy Cain was born in Cornwall, Ontario and received an Honours B.A. from the University of Toronto in 1972 and an A.O.C.A. from the Ontario College of Art in 1974. She has been teaching at the Ontario College of Art and Design since 1978 and is currently Associate Professor of Art and Chair of Printmaking. She has taught print and papermaking workshops for the Japanese Paper Place, Toronto and in her own studio, Rogues' Hollow Paper. Since 1972, she has participated in over 200 group exhibitions in Canada, Japan, Holland, England, New Zealand, and the United States. She has had 11 solo exhibitions, the last Shipwreck Dreaming at the Art Gallery of Northumberland, Cobourg, Ontario and the MVS Gallery, St. Lawrence College, Brockville, Ontario. Her work is in public and private collections.
