Japanese Fisherman's Coat
Cotton cloth, cotton threads
Judy Heikell, a long time member at the Textile Museum of Canada, has admired and made many Kimono. One of the more beautiful is the Fisherman's Coat from Awaji Island. Several layers of indigo dyed cotton cloth are stitched together in a decorative way to form a thick and warm garment.
