White Paper, thread, paint chips Toba Shapiro uses non-traditional and found materials and artists' books as her primary focus. After graduating from the University of Toronto with an honours degree in Fine Art, Toba taught visual arts for more than twenty-five years at the secondary school level. Toba is a member at *new* gallery and an instructor with The Canadian Bookbingers and Book Artists Guild. Toba's work can be found in private collections and the Special Collections section of the Toronto Public Library.
