Landscape Tapestry Juana Sleizer was born in Argentina and immigrated to Canada in 1996. She weaves tapestries, baskets, textile sculptures and also scarves, shawls, woven jewllery and mixed media. She's been trained by famous artists in Argentina and in Canada and has exhibited work in both countries. Juana accepts commissions and is a member of the Canadian Tapestry Network, the American Tapestry Alliance, and the Ontario Crafts Council. While living in Argentina, she was a member of the Argentinian Tapesty Art Centre. In Toronto her work can be found in private houses and has woven jewellery for sale at the Texile Museum Shop.
