Teacher's Evening: Focus on Science and Mathematics

Date: March 21, 2018
Time: 5-7pm

Discover how contemporary artists are using the medium of textiles to respond to their experiences of the natural world (Itchiku Kubota) or address contemporary issues such as genetic modification (Jane Kidd). Learn strategies for making looms using everyday materials in the classroom, and discover strategies for using weaving as a way to introduce math concepts such as geometry, patterning and algebra in the classroom. These sessions are open to all K-12 teachers, post-secondary instructors, and arts educators.
