Dress

Tahitians produced clothing from local plant materials. The flexible bodice of this dress is constructed by tying long strands of grass into a net; the ends hang down to form a wavy skirt. This dress rustles against the ground with the movements of the wearer – dirt still covers the grass ends.

What is worn underneath this type of dress, if anything?

It looks incredibly itchy and scratchy! I would definitely wear a garmet under it since I have sensitive skin. I would wear a long sleeved super thin cotton undershirt and leggings! That way I could protect my skin and still wear the dress :)
