Social Fabric is an inclusive, free-access platform designed to build community knowledge around material culture; and, to bring participant voices together to tell stories and promote understanding of works from the Textile Museum of Canada's (referred to herein as the Museum or TMC) permanent collection.
In order to uphold the values of Social Fabric, we must curb abuses that threaten our ability to provide this service and the freedom of expression it encourages. As a result, the following Community Guidelines have been developed. By participating in the Social Fabric Web community, whether in person at the Museum or via the TMC Web site, you agree to comply with the conventions listed below.

By submitting content to Social Fabric you agree that the TMC shall be the sole arbiter of the content of the Web site and thus it retains the right, though not the obligation, to place, edit, classify, repurpose or remove any content posted on the Web site. The Museum will also retain unrestricted rights to the use of any content posted for promotional, in-gallery presentation or other purposes.

No part of this Web site may be stored, transmitted, or otherwise used or reproduced in any form except for non-commercial study or research purposes with a proper acknowledgement or citation of the copyright owner. Commercial use of any information obtained through this Web site is prohibited without the express written consent of the Textile Museum of Canada.
Many of the trademarks, service marks, and logos (collectively, the "Trademarks") displayed in Social Fabric, including the Textile Museum of Canada logo are registered and/or unregistered marks of the TMC. The Trademarks of third parties may also be displayed on this site. The Museum may at any time revise these Guidelines by updating this posting. You are bound by any such modifications, alterations, and updates of the Community Guidelines effective upon being posted to the Web site.
