Jacket

Short, fitted jackets were fashionable for men and women in 19th century Greece. The loose sleeves allow the wearer to move freely while dancing. Such jackets are characterized by gold embroidery on a dark velvet ground. Embroidering with metal thread is a long tradition in Greece that was profoundly influenced by centuries of Ottoman rule.

What in your wardrobe would you pair with this jacket?

I would pair it with a pair of high waisted black gaucho pants and black leather boots. With that neckline, you can be sure I would wear something under the jacket... probably a silky black mock turtle neck. I think it would look amazing!
